Sometimes it is hard to explain where Man ‘is going wrong’ and then
two simple images help (as they claim) to say a thousand words on
the subject…

The ills of the world today all stem from Man’s desire to
prove that he ‘knows better’ or ‘Can do better’ than Nature (or
some might say ‘God’).

Whilst no gainsayer of science, scientific research or the use
of scientifc advances to make the world better for everyone -
sadly I cannot help but observe that much of science seems to be
put to poor and/or questionable use.

Most often scientific progress is exploited for commercial gain.
Rarely is it prioritized for the simple benefit of all humanity.

Frequently science is used in to create ways to divert, distract
and generally deter people from really looking at what is
happening around them…

TV, films, music, media, computers, Internet… All these ways
and means for humans to communicate – and all largely used for
escapism and the furtherance of human exploitation.

This is not meant to be a long rambling post – despite my
inclinations and habits – it was meant simply posted to make a
point about how the melting pot of science, celebrity, the Internet.
and man’s seemingly endless appetite for the morbidly curious
can come sometimes come together to provide and exemplary metaphor
for the folly of humanity in the matter of a couple of images:
