From the Sublime to the Ridiculous

January 30th, 2009 — 02:00 pm

As can be seen from the last post and page about Nick Vujicic - the human spirit can be truly indomitable, and humans can meet adversity and challenge with grace, with humour and can be sublimely inspiring…

BUT on another part of the spectrum… here is metaphor for the folly of humanity

Two simple images that show how humanity can so easily fall from a path of what is naturally right, onto a route of perversion and excess…

This pattern has been enacted through history by both individuals and whole societies…The greatest civilizations of their day have all been felled by the same folly…and the same is happening today.

An Inspirational Individual

For those times when our motivation runs low, when we are questioning about our ‘luck’ (or lack of it) and our ‘lot’ in life; here is a pertinent video clip.

Have you ever found yourself thinking, or mouthing, the words “Why are you doing this to me God?” - Ask not why God has ‘done’ something to you - as rather “What are you doing for yourself?”

Here is someone who provides real inspiration and a motivational ‘kick in the pants’ for anyone who thinks they are having a challenging time…and perhaps becoming self pitying:

A Question of Conspiracy Theories

January 21st, 2009 — 12:29 pm

Conspiracy Theories…are they all a joke? Or are they maybe not?

This started out as a ‘light hearted’ riposte to a question about ‘favorite conspiracy theories’.

Then I began to realize that there was a serious message that had to be summarized.

The information below is based on certifiiable facts… It is more frightening the more you think about what is apprently happening today. Even the distractions of ‘world financial chaos’, Innaugural Speeches and War…are all part of this process that is being managed by an evil elite…:(Read More)

The Kingdom of Names

January 20th, 2009 — 12:39 pm

An interesting post about the challenge that every individual has to face in order to become a member of a unified Mankind:

“…The soul of man needs to be adorned with virtues of humility and self-effacement so that it may become detached from the Kingdom of Names…”

Going to Hell?

January 11th, 2009 — 09:52 pm

In response to a question about Hell on Earth…

“I think the point is that no matter how awful a thing that we can seem to do on Earth it could never compare to the actuality of Hell…IF indeed the Latin Vulgate or any past discussion/vision/idea or concept of Hell has any validity whatsoever…which of course is the real question.

In fact when we have only our Earthly references to refer to it is perfectly likely that a person might come to feel persecuted (indeed they may actually BE persecuted) because of the inhumanity of other Men…This is not Hell..nor is it a trifling implication of what Hell could be…

But if you take the view (as I do) that there is no such thing or place, or dimension, or whatever you’d like to define it as as Hell…But there is ‘eternal sorrow, regret, self-reproach’ for not having lived a good life…

When those who live a profligate, immoral, exploitative, wicked, hurtful life here on this plane - have time in the next life as an immortal soul to reflect on their deficiencies (or rather when the souls that are linked to the mortal being who live this way are released back to the higher plane) then they have an eternity to suffer the sorrows for their wrong-doings…

This may be defined by some as a ‘kind of hell’ as you will never be able to put right the things that you did wrong - you will only be able to KNOW the wrongness, and FEEL the powerlessness to make amends…forever.

Naturally you will be forgiven for the sins you commit - that is part of the deal, God being perfectly ‘forgiving’ - but some element of your eternal ’spirit’ will never forgive yourself for being so blind to the Love of God and the need to treat others well, with respect, humanity and equality…

You create your own ‘kind of hell’ in that you alone must forever ‘live in the hereafter’ with the ‘knowing’ of your shortcomings, and the realization of all the harms you did, their effects and their negative impact on the one true purpose of Mankind to seek Unity.”
